Childrens Services

Who We Support

We provide support to Children and Young People (16-17 years old) in Supported Accomodation.

How We Support

Supported Accomodation bridges the gap between living in care and living independently, supporting Young People with building life skills, positive risk taking, decision making, personal safety, developing relationships, budgeting, accessing education and employment, leading to a graduated approach to independent living.

Supported Accomodation

Our Supported Accomodation services are typically three bedroom properties, providing accomodation for 2 Young People and provision of 24-hour support.

Services are fully furnished throughout, creating a welcoming and homely shared living environment. Our supported Young People are encouraged to make their bedroom their own space.

Our Aims

Our practice and planning processes are focused towards the Ofsted key principles to achieve the following aims

  • Young people feel safe and secure at home and in the wider environment
  • We actively listen to young people ensuring that their voice is respected, heard and advocated for, so they can influence the support they receive.
  • We will support and encourage young people to grow and thrive so they have the confidence in us to understand them, and that we are skilled and will work effectively together to meet their best needs.
  • We will ensure all young people have their own space they can be proud of and live in a comfortable, well maintained, and stable accommodation.
  • We will ensure all young people receive high quality, tailored support that will sustain their health and wellbeing.
  • We will support strong, trusting, and meaningful relationships within a young person’s support system where young people can rely on the adults around them.
  • We will support young people to learn and apply skills for independent adult living.
  • We will ensure a young person is positive about their future and opportunities as a result of the support we provide.
